The Consumer Rights Protection Centre (CRPC) informs consumers that, according to the information currently available, musician Pitbull's concert has been cancelled and detailed information regarding the ticket refund process will be provided within the next two days.
At the same time, ticket holders are being offered the opportunity to exchange their Pitbull concert tickets for tickets to the Calvin Harris concert, which will take place on 6 August 2026.
The CRPC emphasizes that consumers have the right to choose whether to accept the alternative offered by the event organizer or to decline it and request a refund.
Zaiga Liepiņa, Director of the Consumer Rights Protection Centre:
"When an event is cancelled, consumers have the right to choose the solution that best suits their needs. If a consumer does not wish to accept the alternative offered by the organizer, they are entitled to request a refund of the amount paid. We encourage consumers to carefully follow the information provided by the organizer and to keep all correspondence related to the ticket purchase and refund request."
The Consumer Rights Protection Law provides consumers with the right to withdraw from the contract if the service is not provided within the agreed timeframe. Once a consumer has informed the event organizer that they wish to receive a refund, the service provider must reimburse the amount paid for the ticket without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving the request.
