This week, the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (CRPC) is participating in a hackathon organised within the Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) master’s study programme “Digital Strategies and Artificial Intelligence Management”, where artificial intelligence (AI) solutions are being developed to support businesses and consumers.
CRPC experts are involved as industry partners, defining practical tasks and providing professional feedback to ensure that the developed solutions are applicable in real‑world practice. During the hackathon, students work in teams on solutions that aim to:
- facilitate the identification of regulatory requirements applicable to specific non‑food products;
- improve the analysis and prioritisation of consumer complaints.
This type of cooperation enables the testing of innovative approaches in the public sector and contributes to the more effective development of the consumer protection system. CRPC highly values the involvement of the academic community and the professional contribution of students, which helps identify practical, data‑driven solutions in areas of significant public importance.
